With another week of college football in the books, bowl projections everywhere have been updated.

CBS Sports bowl expert Jerry Palm recently updated his bowl projections following the Week 7 action. He now has 10 SEC teams heading to a bowl game, headlined by a College Football Playoff showdown we’ve seen before:

  • Alabama: Peach Bowl vs. Ohio State (CFP semifinal)
  • Auburn: Outback Bowl vs. Penn State
  • Florida: Citrus Bowl vs. Iowa
  • Georgia: Cotton Bowl vs. Boise State (New Year’s Six)
  • Kentucky: Liberty Bowl vs. TCU
  • LSU: Sugar Bowl vs. Texas (New Year’s Six)
  • Mississippi State: Belk Bowl vs. Syracuse
  • Missouri: Music City Bowl vs. Miami
  • South Carolina: Gator Bowl vs. Michigan State
  • Texas A&M: Texas Bowl vs. Baylor

South Carolina’s upset of Georgia provides the biggest shakeup of Palm’s updated projections. The Dawgs were previously projected to be among the CFP field of four. In fact, Palm was projecting another UGA-Alabama showdown in Atlanta. Palm had not been projecting the Gamecocks to go bowling.

Mississippi State lost at Tennessee, but Palm still has Joe Moorhead’s squad going bowling. The Vols, meanwhile, are still on the outside looking in, along with Arkansas, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

Palm continues to project Missouri to go bowling, even though the Tigers are currently under a postseason ban, which MU has appealed. The NCAA has not yet informed Mizzou of a final decision on the matter.
