The SEC has two marquee games in the next two weeks — Georgia vs. Florida in Jacksonville this weekend and Alabama vs. LSU in Baton Rouge next Saturday.

Those games will go a long way toward deciding which teams make it to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game, and also which teams get elite bowl games and which teams go to lesser games.

Following Week 8’s games, CBS Sports updated their bowl projections, and 10 SEC squads make the cut.

As you can see below, Alabama is expected to go to the College Football Playoff, and a whopping three other SEC teams are slated to play in Selection Committee bowl games:

Alabama

  • Cotton Bowl (CFP) vs. Michigan

Auburn

  • Texas Bowl vs. Texas Tech

Florida

  • Citrus Bowl vs. Wisconsin

Georgia

  • Fiesta Bowl vs. UCF

Kentucky

  • Peach Bowl vs. Texas

LSU
