Last year, Auburn and Georgia met in the SEC Championship Game, with the Bulldogs winning the conference title before losing to Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

This year should be another exciting one in the conference, with those three squads and a few others gearing up for big years.

This week, Tony Barnhart — Mr. College Football — revealed how he thinks the SEC West and SEC East standings will look at the end of the regular season. Below, you can see what he thinks will happen in the SEC’s eight-game conference schedule:

SEC West

  1. Alabama (8-0)
  2. Auburn (6-2)
  3. Mississippi State (5-3)
  4. Texas A&M (4-4)
  5. LSU (3-5)
  6. Ole Miss (3-5)
  7. Arkansas (0-8)

SEC East

  1. Georgia (7-1)
  2. South Carolina (6-2)
  3. Florida (5-3)
  4. Tennessee (4-4)
  5. Kentucky (2-6)
  6. Missouri (2-6)
  7. Vanderbilt (1-7)

If this is indeed how things play out, Georgia and Alabama would meet in the SEC Championship Game in what would surely be an epic battle.
