There’s no word yet on whether or not the design of the College Football Playoff National Championship ring will change from the inaugural version that was unveiled last year. But the Ohio State Buckeyes certainly did not let the official championship ring limit their championship bling opportunities.

First, let’s review the first look we all got of the College Football Playoff National Championship ring:

It’s classy, it’s sparkly, but also has the right amount of heft to signify how much strength and hard work it took to earn. When personalized to the team that won the first playoffs last year, the ring looked like this:

But just one ring to commemorate a championship season isn’t enough. Even two rings are not enough. Ohio State had three different championship rings to celebrate their 2014 season: one for winning the playoffs, one for winning their conference, and one simply for being a Buckeye. Here is a look at the two other rings that were given to players:

That’s a whole lotta bling on just one hand. Ohio State is not the first team to have a multitude of championship rings, and they certainly won’t be the last (to the happiness of companies like Jostens). Here’s a look back at some of college football’s past championship ring sets:

2013 – Florida State Seminoles

Similar to Ohio State, Florida State had a set of three championship rings in 2013. One was the BCS National Championship ring, one was the ACC championship ring, and one was a personalized one from the university.

2012 – Alabama Crimson Tide

Similar in idea to both Ohio State and Florida State, one of Alabama’s rings uses footballs to denote the total number of national championships won by the program. Another one displays a colored football with a number one in the center, a design which is extremely popular among college football championship rings.

2010 – Auburn Tigers

2008 – Florida Gators

2005 – Texas Longhorns

Texas had not only a BCS National Championship ring, but also a Rose Bowl championship ring. Bowl game specific rings do exist, and are actually quite common today. They are not as publicized, but any Google search for “Outback Bowl ring,” “Gator Bowl ring,” or any number of bowl games out there will reveal their designs.

2002 – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State received BCS National Championship rings as well as rings which denoted them as Big Ten champions. Instead of one ring displaying the school’s logo or mascot, which is often the case, both rings have the traditional number one displayed prominently.

2000 – Oklahoma Sooners
