The College Football Playoff is mixing things up in 2018. The selection committee for college football’s Playoff has announced several changes Wednesday afternoon to the makeup of the committee assigned to ranking the best FBS teams in the nation.

Paola Boivin (former sports journalist), Joe Castiglione (AD at Oklahoma), Ken Hatfield (retired college football coach), Ronnie Lott (former college football player), Todd Stansbury (AD at Georgia Tech) and Scott Stricklin (AD at Florida) have all been added to the committee. All new members agree to three-year terms on the committee.

“These are high integrity people who know and love college football,” Bill Hancock, CFP executive director said in a prepared statement.  “Each one of them has built a distinguished career based on diligence and doing things the right way.  We’re delighted that they will be joining the committee.”

Along with these additions, Oregon AD Rob Mullens will be taking over the chair position from Texas Tech AD Kirby Holcott. Holcott served as chair for two seasons, as did his predecessor, former Arkansas AD Jeff Long.

With these changes, college football fans now have a better idea who to be upset with when their school is rated too low.
