For the most part, teams in the Associated Press Top 25 took care of business on Saturday.

Texas A&M gave No. 2 Clemson all it could handle, but the Tigers escaped College Station with a 28-26 win. Voters may ding Dabo Swinney’s squad for the close call and failing to cover the point spread, especially since No. 3 Georgia went on the road and won much more convincingly, defeating No. 24 South Carolina 41-17 in Columbia, S.C.

South Carolina and Florida’s exits from the poll open up two spots. As we saw on Tuesday, the AP voters tend to look to the teams that received votes in the most recent poll. In the Week 2 poll, Utah and Oklahoma State were the two unranked teams with the most votes. The Utes took care of business and the Cowboys are winning convincingly, meaning they will likely get bumped into the Top 25. There’s certainly an outside chance some voters who watched Kentucky knock off UF feel the Wildcats and Gators should switch places, but last week’s polls suggest Utah and Okie State are in better position.

For now, here’s how we project the Week 3 Top 25 on Sunday:
