College football rankings: Projecting AP Top 25 after Week 12
If you’re a fan of Team Chaos, Week 12 was mostly a tease.
No. 1 Alabama was tied with The Citadel 10-10 at the half. No. 2 Clemson trailed Duke 6-0 in the first quarter. No. 4 Michigan trailed Indiana 17-15 at the half.
But the slow starts did not hold. The Associated Press Top 25 top four (same as the College Football Playoff rankings) managed to pull away and win their games as expected.
The biggest upset on the day belongs to Oklahoma State. The unranked Pokes knocked off No. 7 West Virginia in one of those Big 12 shootouts we’ve come to know and love.
No. 22 Boston College choked in the fourth quarter and fell to unranked Florida State in Tallahassee. The Eagles will almost certainly be bounced from the top 25 as a result.
