College GameDay announces 'special guest' for Week 1
College GameDay returns for the college football’s Week 1 action Saturday.
The premier pregame show is headed to Charlotte for the Georgia vs. Clemson showdown, which figures to be one of the best games the entire season with College Football Playoff implications on the line.
The show always has celebrity guest pickers, and now, it seems the show is hosting special guests, too. Deion Sanders was announced as the special guest for Week 0; however, he couldn’t make it. Former Ohio State and NFL running back Eddie George was the celebrity guest picker.
This week, the show announced that NASCAR’s Chase Elliott is the special guest.
SO EXCITED to have NASCAR’s @chaseelliott join the show this weekend as a special guest 👏

The 25-year-old NASCAR driver is considered one of the best in the sport. Currently, Elliott is ranked 5th in the NASCAR Cut Series Standings. He trails Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex, Jr and Kyle Busch.
College GameDay will be live on ESPN Saturday from Charlotte starting at 9:00 a.m. ET.
