Who is ready for some Thursday night football?

While it’s not SEC football, we still have to wait a few more weeks before the Southeastern Conference kicks off the season, the matchup of UAB and Miami in Hard Rock Stadium is a nice appetizer before the nation’s best conference begins play starting Saturday, Sept. 26.

Leading up to the Thursday night game on the ACC Network, UAB was hit with some positive COVID tests following last weekend’s season opener.

“We got a couple of guys that won’t be going with us this time, but other than that we did great. We have still done really well,” Clark revealed a few days after UAB’s season-opening win over Central Arkansas.

That wasn’t the news anyone wanted to hear but we now have great news to share from Miami as the Blazers were recently tested upon their arrival in South Florida and not a single positive test was returned.

This news comes via Christian Chambers of WBRC in Birmingham.

UAB is 1-0 after beating Central Arkansas 45-35 while Miami has yet to play this season.

The Hurricanes are a 14.5-point favorite in this game, which is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on the ACC Network.
