ESPN analyst Booger McFarland tweets takeaways from SEC's Week 4 action
Saturday was a wild day for the SEC, from Alabama making a statement, Georgia proving its the No. 2 team in the conference and Auburn handling business against Mizzou to the other end of the spectrum, where Tennessee, LSU and South Carolina struggled to beat lesser opponents.
Then there was Florida, which extended its winning streak against Kentucky to an impressive 31 years via a late holding call and a missed field goal.
As always, ESPN analyst Booger McFarland took to Twitter on Sunday morning to break down what he saw the previous day.
Here’s what the popular analyst thought about each SEC team’s Week 4 effort:
Alabama- Vandy , running game, enough said. This game was won in February on national signing day

Auburn – Kerryon Johnson provides speed that Petway doesn't. Changes the offense, defense was good enough. Nice win

Arkansas – defense continues to be the issue , now special teams are also, oline played well. Backs ran hard Tough tough loss

LSU- oline is terrible, Etling is just serviceable , defense is sooo young. Need more impact players in front 7. Gonna b a long yr ??

Texas AM- Kirk was terrific, Sumlin almost blew the game at end of regulation w/ bad clock management, Mond is a keeper and played well

Miss St- no run game , fitzy was bad yesterday, defense got exposed, did anyone see Simmons? I didn't. Have to bounce back from bad game
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) September 24, 2017
Florida – got outplayed up and down the field , gutsy win , not sure who the qb is gonna be but more issues in run defense that need fixing
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) September 24, 2017
Tennessee- terrible win, which qb do u wanna play ? Made UMASS look good and they aren't. Just don't look like a well coached team at all
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) September 24, 2017
Vandy- not ur day Not much more to say
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) September 24, 2017
S Carolina – amazing how the Cocky fans aren't in my mentions anymore, offense struggling w/out Deebo, Bentley's prayers were answered
