ESPN has announced its celebrity picker during Saturday’s episode of “College GameDay” in Conway, S.C. for the Top 20 game between No. 18 Coastal Carolina and No. 13 BYU, and it’s sure to be a familiar one for Chanticleers fans.

Dustin Johnson, who won his 1st Masters Tournament in November, is set to join the GameDay crew during the show’s “Saturday Selections”. The Columbia, S.C. native is a graduate of Coastal and was a multiple-year All-American on the Chants’ golf team before turning professional in 2007.

Before winning The Masters, Johnson had 1 major tournament win to his credit, the 2016 U.S. Open. He also finished tied for 2nd in this year’s PGA Championship, the 2nd year in a row he had placed as a runner-up or tied for runner-up status in the event.

It is part of a rare GameDay visit to a non-Power 5 program. The show was originally set to be there as Liberty was the Chants’ scheduled opponent, but COVID-19 issues within the Flames program caused the matchup to not go on as scheduled. BYU was then announced as the replacement for Liberty, with the game scheduled for a 5:30 pm ET kickoff on ESPNU.
