The final College Football Playoff top 25 will be revealed Sunday afternoon. The top four teams will be released 12:00 p.m. ET.

ESPN updated its Football Power Index following Championship Weekend, and six SEC teams are ranked, including five in the top eight. LSU moved up to No. 3 following the SEC Championship Game win over Georgia. Alabama had been ranked No. 3 for several weeks despite the head-to-head loss to LSU.

Alabama, Georgia and Auburn are all ranked in the top six, and Florida rounded it out for the conference at No. 8. Texas A&M, ranked No. 17, is the only other SEC program not ranked in the top 10.

Oklahoma is ranked No. 9 in ESPN’s top 25, but the Sooners will likely be ranked No. 4 in Sunday’s final College Football Playoff rankings.

The FPI is described as the following on ESPN’s website:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
