Well, Week 13 is in the books, and there’s only one remaining Saturday in the regular season. This year flew by.

The LSU Tigers locked up the SEC West during Saturday’s blowout win over Arkansas, and they officially get a date with Georgia for the SEC Championship. College Football Playoff seeding will be on the line.

The biggest winner of Saturday may have been the Alabama Crimson Tide. Yes, Alabama dominated Western Carolina, but Arizona State upset the Oregon Ducks 31-28. Now, the path for the Crimson Tide to get into the Playoff became a little more clear. However, the Tide still likely needs help in the next two weeks to make it happen.

The College Football Playoff rankings will be out Tuesday night; however ESPN updated the Football Power Index top 25 following Week 13. It is described on the website as the following:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
