When there’s as much talent as there is in the SEC, there are always going to be a few players on each team who get overlooked.

On Tuesday, ESPN put together an early 2019 top-25 ranking and then named the most-underrated players from each of those squads.

Six SEC teams were listed in the top 25, and you can see who was named the most-underrated player on each of those teams below:

  • No. 2 Alabama — S Xavier McKinney
  • No. 4 Georgia — LB Tae Crowder
  • No. 8 Florida — LB David Reese II
  • No. 11 Texas A&M — DL Justin Madubuike
  • No. 12 LSU — LB Michael Divinity Jr.
  • No. 23 Auburn — OL Prince Tega Wanogho

It’s no surprise that five of the six are defenders, and that there are no skill position guys on the list from the SEC. There are so many talented defensive players in the SEC that it’s easy to be overlooked.

Hopefully, this year, all six of those guys will have a chance to shine.
