ESPN's Booger McFarland tweets takeaways from College Football Playoff semifinals
Georgia and Alabama will provide an all-SEC championship game after wins in the semifinals on New Year’s Day, and ESPN’s Booger McFarland took time Tuesday to tweet his takeaways from the College Football Playoff.
In the Rose Bowl, Georgia and Oklahoma provided arguably the greatest game in Rose Bowl history. The dramatic affair went to double OT with the Dawgs capping an incredible second half comeback with a blocked field goal and game-winning touchdown provided by Sony Michel.
In the Sugar Bowl, Alabama’s defense turned in another dominant showing in limiting Clemson to six points. The Crimson Tide recorded a pick-six in the second half and went on to secure a 24-6 victory in the game.
As debate about expanding the Playoff continues, McFarland began by saying he likes the limitations of a four-team Playoff:
I hope the playoff never expands , it should be hard and 4 is subjective and I like it

He went on to discuss such things as Oklahoma’s play-calling, Georgia and Clemson’s future as elite programs, Alabama’s “pissed off” performance, and the all-SEC championship game:
Oklahoma only needed a touchdown in the 1st overtime to win and they didnt throw a pass, very conservative play calling by Lincoln Riley

Georgia’s best team will Be next season, with that being said the resiliency they showed yesterday was unreal. Kirby has a mentally tough team

Clemson will be good for a long time, they won’t be great until they get a passing game Kelly Bryant missed so many plays last night, makes u realize how special Deshaun Watson was

Alabama was pissed off last night , they only thru for 130 or so yards but once again ball control running game and defense save the day

An All SEC final doesn’t mean the SEC is the best conference it just means that in 2017 the 2 best teams that played the best are from the SEC and everyone should be ok with that
