ESPN's College GameDay crew names the best players they've seen who never won a Heisman
The Heisman Trophy is very difficult to win, as only one college football player gets it every season.
Therefore, there have been some absolutely outstanding college players over the years who haven’t won a Heisman.
On Thursday, ESPN’s College GameDay crew named the best players they’ve ever seen who never reached the Heisman club:

Former Clemson QB Deshaun Watson got three votes, with Tennessee QB Peyton Manning and Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey each getting two votes.
Another Clemson quarterback — Trevor Lawrence — will be a favorite to win this year’s Heisman. Can he pull it off? Or, will Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (or someone else) lift the prestigious award?
UPDATE: Herbstreit and Davis clarified their responses:
In our defense..this was asked in a hallway in the middle of our recent CFB seminar. I thought of Big Keith off the top of my head going old school. But I’d love to add Mike Vick, Deshaun Watson, and and my man Saquon Barkley! https://t.co/K6935oQmrK
