The first full Saturday of SEC conference play in the 2022 college football season is here. The Week 6 SEC slate has all 14 teams in action facing conference opponents.

No. 8 Tennessee is at No. 25 LSU for the only ranked vs. ranked SEC matchup of the day. That game is on ESPN (noon ET).

The “SEC Nation” crew is in Starkville as No. 23 Mississippi State is set to host division rival Arkansas, set for noon ET on the SEC Network. CBS has a double-header set with Auburn at No. 2 Georgia for 3:30 p.m. ET and Texas A&M at No. 1 Alabama for 8 p.m. ET.

ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) projects the winner of every game. Here are the FPI’s predicted winners for the 7 SEC games Saturday:

  • LSU (58.3% chance to win) vs. Tennessee
  • Mississippi State (75.7% chance to win) vs. Arkansas
  • Florida (71% chance to win) vs. Missouri
  • Georgia (93.9% chance to win) vs. Auburn
  • Ole Miss (89.6% chance to win) at Vanderbilt
  • Kentucky (75.9% chance to win) vs. South Carolina
  • Alabama (96.2% chance to win) vs. Texas A&M

The FPI is a simulation-based metric. Kentucky, Alabama and Texas A&M all enter Saturday’s games with quarterback uncertainty, which likely does not factor into the FPI projections.

We’ve already seen plenty of upsets in the SEC and around college football. We’ll see how the FPI’s Week 6 projections fare against Saturday’s results on the field.
