Fans rip Playoff committee for ranking Georgia between Oklahoma and Ohio State
When the College Football Playoff field was announced, there was a bit of a head-scratcher from the No. 4 to No. 6 spots.
Two-loss Georgia, fresh off a narrow defeat to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday afternoon, ended up at No. 5 — just behind one-loss Big 12 champ Oklahoma and one spot ahead of one-loss Big Ten champ Ohio State.
It seemingly would have made more sense for Georgia to be ranked No. 4 or No. 6, but splitting the two Power 5 champs was a bit odd.
As you can see below, fans of Ohio State and Georgia were flabbergasted by the way the top-six played out on Sunday:
I agree with Oklahoma but OSU at 6 means the argument was solely between Georgia and Oklahoma which is ridiculous.

It makes NO SENSE to put Georgia between Ohio State and Oklahoma.
They’re better than Ohio State, but less deserving and this field was clearly the 4 most deserving teams.

Oklahoma made it in figured they wouldn’t let a 2 loss team in the playoffs. I still think Georgia is one of the best 4 teams though.
