If you think the SEC East is a wide open division full of parity, you’re not alone. It’s really tough to say which team has the edge right now.

Georgia probably has the most proven talent, but it lost starting quarterback Jacob Eason in a so-so performance against Appalachian State. Florida, on the other hand, was embarrassed by Michigan and doesn’t seem to have any answers on offense for the foreseeable future.

Tennessee and South Carolina probably beat the highest-quality opponents in Georgia Tech and NC State, respectively, but the Vols gave up over 500 rushing yards and the Gamecocks don’t appear to have a running game.

Vanderbilt and Kentucky started off with (quality?) wins… against Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss. And Missouri, well, Missouri doesn’t field a defense.

The point is, no team really stands out.

ESPN’s Chris Low apparently feels the same way, as he told Arkansas’ Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly on Tuesday that he doesn’t think there’s any team in the division that can’t beat another team in the division.
