Former LSU RB Jacob Hester responds to Florida's interesting scheduling move
Florida made an interesting scheduling move on Thursday when it announced that the Gators’ Oct. 7 game against the LSU Tigers would be their annual homecoming game.
After all the Hurricane Matthew-related drama surrounding last year’s LSU-Florida game, this decision will certainly stoke the flames of the budding rivalry once again.
But, if you believe former LSU RB Jacob Hester, the Gators and Tigers have been rivals for a lot longer. Hester tweeted on Thursday that he’s been saying that Florida is LSU’s biggest football rival for a while now:
Maybe now everybody won't look at me like I'm crazy when I say that LSU's biggest ? rival is the Florida Gators. 10/7/17 will be ???.

Last year, the game was rescheduled and moved to Baton Rouge, where the Gators emerged with a somewhat-surprising road victory.
This year, the game will be held at The Swamp, so we’ll have to see whether or not the Gators can defend their home turf this time around.
Either way, the game is sure to be intense and should be a lot of fun for football fans to watch.
