Gary Danielson will be on the call Saturday for the CBS broadcast of the SEC Championship Game featuring No. 1 Georgia and No. 14 LSU.

Ahead of the showdown in Atlanta, Danielson offered some thoughts on the potential difference makers for the Bulldogs and Tigers.

“If you’re LSU, it better be their quarterback,” Danielson said. “If it’s not, I don’t know what they turn to.”

LSU QB Jayden Daniels was injured in the regular-season finale at Texas A&M and limited to start the week of practice. Tigers coach Brian Kelly confirmed Thursday that Daniels will play on Saturday. Daniels has thrown for 2,566 yards and 15 touchdowns with just 2 interceptions. He also leads the Tigers in rushing with 824 yards and 11 TDs.

If UGA controls the game, Danielson sees it starting in the trenches.

“For Georgia, the difference maker that they want it to be is their offensive line,” Danielson said. “They’re playing an incredible brand of football right now. They’re line believes nobody can stop them. They are gashing people with their tight ends in combination with their line. And their running backs are physical competent football players right now. If you look at it, Michigan and Georgia are mirror images of each other.”

Saturday’s game is set for 4 p.m. ET on CBS.
