Meanwhile, Mizzou is trying to bounce back from a devastating loss at Auburn, a game where the Tigers had 2 incredible opportunities to win and botched them both.

But, 5-star freshman WR Luther Burden is questionable with an injury, meaning the Tigers’ offense could lack one of its most explosive players. Top WR Dominic Lovett will still be on the field, though, and QB Brady Cook needs to get him the ball early and often.

This will potentially be a defining game for Cook as Mizzou’s quarterback. He has been inaccurate and ineffective against tougher opponents, so the Tigers could look to make a change if he struggles again this weekend.

Defensively, Georgia presents a massive challenge. Despite losing several guys to the early rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Bulldogs look like they haven’t missed a beat on that side of the ball. That’s what happens when you consistently land 5-star prospects like Kirby Smart has over the years.

Mizzou’s defense has been better than it was in 2021, but Stetson Bennett and Brock Bowers provide a challenge unlike anything the Tigers have faced thus far in 2022. Both of those guys are deserving of the Heisman hype they’re getting through the first third of the season.
