Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have taken certain joys out of playing in the SEC.

They have dominated conference play and they book a hotel for Atlanta almost every year. Though Alabama has won the majority of the SEC championships since Saban arrived, other SEC programs have enjoyed success in various ways.

Here’s a look at each team’s best regular season win, season and bowl game since 2007, not including Alabama.

Arkansas

Best regular season win — 2007 at No. 1 LSU

Going into your rival’s house when they are the No. 1 team in the country and coming out with a victory is hard to beat. It took three overtimes and a four-touchdown effort from Darren McFadden to seal the 50-48 win.

Best season — 2010

The Razorbacks made it to a BCS bowl game for the first time in the program’s history. They came a play or two away from beating Alabama and lost to eventual Heisman winner Cam Newton at Auburn. They closed out the regular season with six straight wins, beating  Top 25 teams South Carolina, Mississippi State and LSU in November. They finished 10-3 after losing 31-26 to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl.

Best bowl win — 2012 Cotton Bowl vs. Kansas State

Arkansas only lost two games during the 2011 campaign, to Alabama and LSU — who eventually met in the National Championship Game. Bobby Petrino and his team capped off a great season with a dominating, 29-16 performance against the Wildcats, who had a staunch team with Big 12 Coach of the Year Bill Snyder and Heisman finalist Collin Klein.

Auburn

Best regular season win — 2013 vs. No. 1 Alabama

Known by many as “The Kick Six” game, this 34-28 Iron Bowl victory is one of Tigers fans’ favorites. This win helped Auburn win the SEC West and advance to the SEC Championship Game. Chris Davis’ name will be remembered by Auburn fans for a long time.

Best season — 2010

Going 14-0, beating your rival, winning a national championship, and having one of your players win the Heisman trophy is a perfect season in most SEC fans’ minds. Well, this is what Auburn experienced in 2010. The 2013 season comes in at a close second.

Best bowl win — 2011 National Championship Game vs. Oregon

Both offenses started slow, but Cam Newton and the Tigers rose to the occasion. Helped by Michael Dyer’s bizarre run close to the end of regulation, Auburn was able to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired and win 22-19.

Florida

Best regular season win — 2015 vs. Ole Miss

Florida annihilated the Rebels 38-10 behind the play of quarterback Will Grier and a stingy defense. Ole Miss couldn’t put a point on the board until the second half. This is a game Chad Kelly doesn’t want to remember.

Best season — 2008

Beating No. 1 Alabama for the SEC championship, then winning the national championship versus Oklahoma a month later capped off an incredible season for the Gators. They finished 13-1, losing only to Ole Miss, 31-30, in their fourth game of the season.

Best bowl win — 2008 National Championship Game vs. Oklahoma

Tim Tebow had the last laugh, beating Heisman winner Sam Bradford and the Sooners 24-14 in a defensive battle. Neither quarterback played great, but Tebow inspired his teammates at halftime, leading to a Florida victory.

Georgia

Best regular season win — 2012 vs. No. 3 Florida

This Top 10 matchup was a dogfight that ended in 17-9 Bulldogs victory. The Gators never found the end zone and turned the ball over six times. Georgia won this rivalry game in back-to-back years for the first time since the 1980s.

Best season — 2012 season

In addition to the win against Florida, Georgia had a spectacular season with only one SEC loss in the regular season. The Bulldogs met Alabama in the SEC Championship and lost a heart-breaker in the closing moments. After the loss, they responded by beating Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl to finish 12-2.

Best bowl win — 2007 Sugar Bowl vs. Hawaii

Undefeated Hawaii came into this game with passing wizard Colt Brennan. The Rainbow Warriors were eaten alive by the Bulldogs’ defense, and Brennan tossed three interceptions. Thomas Brown and Knowshon Moreno had a field day, scoring three touchdowns on the ground combined in the 41-10 victory.

Kentucky

Best regular season win — 2007 vs. No. 1 LSU (3 OT)

Rich Brooks and the No. 17 Kentucky Wildcats pulled of a miraculous upset after trailing late in the third quarter to No. 1 LSU. A fourth-down stop in the third overtime prompted fans to rush the field to celebrate the 43-37 victory.

Best season — 2007

Not only was Kentucky able to pull off the victory against LSU that season, the Wildcats won against No. 9 Louisville, Arkansas, and Florida State in the Music City Bowl. Maybe 8-5 doesn’t seem like much, but the Wildcats haven’t had a better season since.

Best bowl victory — This is another easy answer. Beating traditional powerhouse Florida State in Music City Bowl was a perfect ending to a good 2007 season. Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson won the game’s MVP honor, throwing four touchdown passes, and the Wildcats prevailed 35-28.

LSU

Best regular season win — 2011 at No. 2 Alabama

While the game lacked scoring, it was what every true SEC fan wanted to see: unbelievable defense. LSU stopped Alabama in its tracks and did just enough on offense to escape Tuscaloosa with a 9-6 win. This might have been the best defensive game in the history of college football.

Best season — 2007

Before Alabama got going, LSU added their name to the record books in 2007, winning the SEC’s second consecutive national championship. On the way to New Orleans, the Tigers won six games against ranked teams, including the SEC Championship Game against Tennessee. Ali Highsmith and Glenn Dorsey led a ferocious defense that no one wanted to play. They finished 12-2, both losses coming in overtime games.

Best Bowl Victory — 2007 National Championship Game vs. Ohio State

Two years in a row, Ohio State fell to an SEC team. Despite having two losses, LSU was selected for the title game, and it took full advantage. The Tigers won 38-24 with the help of a career day from quarterback Matt Flynn.

Mississippi State

Best regular season win — 2014 vs. No. 2 Auburn

ESPN’s College Gameday made an appearance and the No. 3 Bulldogs used this win to catapult themselves to the No. 1 spot. Dak Prescott had a solid game, and Mississippi State’s defense came to play, forcing Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall to throw two costly interceptions. The cowbells were heard all over Mississippi after the win.

Best season — 2014

Like Kentucky’s 2007 season, this season was a dream come true for Bulldogs fans. Three straight conference wins versus ranked opponents was SEC football nirvana for the folks in Starkville. It helped that Dak Prescott was one of the best ever to put on a Mississippi State uniform. The Bulldogs reached 9-0 before suffering a tough loss at Alabama and finishing 10-3.

Best bowl win — 2015 Belk Bowl vs. North Carolina State

Prescott finished his outstanding career with a dominating bowl performance, throwing for three touchdowns and almost 400 yards. Mississippi State won 51-28 and finished the season 9-4.

Ole Miss

Best regular season win — 2015 at No. 2 Alabama

Hugh Freeze and the Rebels followed their victory versus Alabama at home in 2014 with a win on the road in Tuscaloosa. A couple lucky bounces and a multitude of Alabama turnovers helped Ole Miss get the best of Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide for the second straight year, 43-37.

Best season — 2015

Quarterback Chad Kelly engineered one of best seasons Ole Miss had in years. On top of earning a win against Alabama, the Rebels handed losses to other Top 25 teams, including LSU, Texas A&M and Mississippi State. They finished 10-3.

Best bowl win — 2016 Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma State

The fun 2015 season continued with a lopsided win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Laquon Treadwell caught 3 TDs during the 48-20 rout.

Missouri (while in SEC)

Best win  — 2013 at No. 7 Georgia

This road victory was a statement win for Gary Pinkel and the Missouri Tigers. Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray threw two interceptions and the Bulldogs never could get going, losing 41-26.

Best season — 2013

In their second season since joining the SEC, Missouri won the East. James Franklin was a capable dual-threat quarterback and running back Henry Josey rushed for over 1,000 yards. The Tigers would repeat as SEC East champions in 2014.

Best bowl win — 2014 Cotton Bowl vs. Oklahoma State

The Cowboys and Tigers competed in a shootout, with Franklin and Missouri prevailing 41-31. Josey was the difference-maker, rushing for three touchdowns.

South Carolina

Best regular season win — 2010 vs. No. 1 Alabama

South Carolina got off to an early 21-3 lead, and Alabama never recovered. Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia had the game of his life, with only three incomplete passes. Marcus Lattimore also had a wonderful outing, scoring three total touchdowns in the 35-21 victory.

Best season(s) — 2011-2013

The three seasons from 2011-2013 were nearly identical, as the Gamecocks finished 11-2 every year during that stretch. Steve Spurrier and his team also won three straight bowls and did not lose to rival Clemson.

Best bowl win — 2012 Outback Bowl vs. Michigan

The 33-28 win over the Wolverines was average, but Jadeveon Clowney’s highlight was not. It wouldn’t be surprising if Michigan’s Vincent Smith still has nightmares about this collision.

Tennessee

Best regular season win — 2016 at No. 25 Georgia

Volunteers coach Butch Jones went berzerk after this 34-31 win, and rightfully so. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs’ Hail Mary pass to Juan Jennings was one of the craziest plays of the last decade. Just another day in the SEC.

Best season — 2007

It was Phillip Fulmer’s last “glory year” as the Volunteers head coach. His team achieved a 10-4 record, earning trips to the SEC Championship Game and Outback Bowl. Stars of the squad included saftey Eric Berry and running back Arian Foster.

Best bowl win — Take your pick

The Volunteers won the Outback bowl in 2007 and 2015. Last season, they beat Nebraska in the Music City Bowl 38-24.

Texas A&M (while in SEC)

Best regular season win — 2012 at No. 1 Alabama

Johnny Manziel may not have panned out in the NFL, but he was one of the best college quarterbacks of all time. His legend truly began with a 29-24 win over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. I’m sure Nick Saban is glad that he only had to game plan two years for “Johnny Football.”

Best season — 2012

Manziel led his team to 11 wins against two losses and won a Heisman Trophy along the way. Coach Kevin Sumlin was a happy man watching his Aggies finish No. 5 in the country by season’s end.

Best bowl win — 2012 Cotton Bowl vs. Oklahoma

Sumlin and his troops overwhelmed Bob Stoops and the Sooners in a 41-13 landslide victory. Manziel accounted for over 500 yards and four touchdowns, proving he earned the Heisman Trophy bestowed on him weeks before.

Vanderbilt

Best regular season win — 2013 at Tennessee

Vanderbilt doesn’t win in Knoxville very often. Well, they did in 2013 in the closing seconds. Patton Robinette clinched the 14-10 victory, scoring with 16 seconds left on a fake jump pass.

Best season (s) — 2012-2013

Somehow, James Franklin managed two straight nine-win seasons as the “Head Commodore.” During this span, Vanderbilt beat Tennessee twice and won both its bowl games.

Best bowl win — 2012 Music City Bowl vs. N.C. State

Winning a solid bowl game is great for Vanderbilt fans. Finishing with a win where the college is located is even better.
