Stop the presses, Colin Cowherd says one SEC program is “playing right on the edge.” What edge, and more importantly, which program the radio host would not reveal but he’s willing to throw that bit of information out there.

It will be interesting to see what obvious news Cowherd “breaks” next on his show and if he keeps it as vague as he’s done here. The latter may be difficult to accomplish.

Here’s the titillating information Cowherd recently shared Monday during on his FOX Sports radio show:

“There is a program in the SEC right now that is playing right on the edge. It’s not Ole Miss bad, but it’s close. My sources tell me in the last year–it ain’t Ole Miss bad, but it’s getting there. Football, with paying players,” Cowherd said on the air.

If it “ain’t Ole Miss bad” that seems to rule out the Rebels. He did leave a clue by using the word “close” in there but is he talking about close in proximity, close in standings, close in historical reference, or close in team mascot?

I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see. Any chance Cowherd doesn’t take credit for the next scandal that’s inevitable in the SEC? He technically broke this news wide open with this scoop.
