How the BCS Rankings would rank the top 4 teams after Week 6
For as much as fans griped about the BCS and its method for determining a champion, it’s always fun to look at what those ratings would make of the current crop of teams.
Twitter user @cody_kellner did just that in a post that outlined what the top five would look like in the BCS rankings after Week 6:
I applied the BCS formula used prior to 2004 by using the current AP and Coaches Poll rankings and Ken Massey’s computer composite. Here are the top five.
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio St.
4. Clemson
5. Notre DameIn case you are curious, UCF is No. 14.

Do these fives teams look familiar? They should, given this group appeared in this exact order in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll.
If the BCS was still in place, these rankings would mean that if the season ended today, Alabama and Georgia would meet once again for the national championship. It’s likely that they’ll square off in the SEC championship game before then, though who’s to say that a close contest in Atlanta wouldn’t merit yet another rematch in the national title game.
