One of the nation’s top pass rushers is close to announcing his college decision as four-star defender Jeremiah Williams just updated his recruitment.

After previously narrowing his list down to Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Oklahoma, the top 100 overall prospect announced on Thursday he plans to reveal his college commitment on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The 6-foot-3, 224-pound pass rusher is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 5 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 5 overall recruit from Alabama by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s also listed as the No. 97 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

The Birmingham native has been dominant for Ramsay High School in recent seasons as he’s racked up 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and 107 total tackles during his sophomore and junior seasons at Ramsay.

Based on his latest highlight reel, Williams has the size, speed and athleticism that college coach covet when it comes to a versatile athlete that can rush the passer, as well as defend college passing schemes.

Soon enough, we’ll know if Williams plans to suit up for the Tigers, Bulldogs, Gators or Sooners at the game’s next level.
