Joe Lunardi stays busy, even during the long college hoops offseason. Now that we’re nearing the NBA Draft deadline for players to return to school or stay in the draft, we’re getting a better look at what rosters will be like in 2022-23.

On Tuesday, Lunardi released his latest bracketology projections, and he included 7 SEC squads in the field of 68 teams for the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

As you can see below, he has Kentucky as the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. On the other end of the spectrum, Mississippi State finds itself among the “Next Four Out” as things stand right now:

  • Kentucky — No. 1 seed (South)
  • Arkansas — No. 2 seed (East)
  • Tennessee — No. 3 seed (West)
  • Alabama — No. 5 seed (West)
  • Auburn — No. 5 seed (Midwest)
  • Texas A&M — No. 8 seed (East)
  • Florida — No. 9 seed (Midwest)
  • Mississippi State — Next Four Out

Will any of these teams get a boost before the 2022-23 season tips off? We’ll see how the rest of the offseason progresses.
