Week 4 is shaping to be a big one in college football with multiple ranked-against-ranked showdowns, headlined by No. 7 Notre Dame at No. 3 Georgia.

Not surprisingly, the Fighting Irish against the Bulldogs between the hedges tops Kirk Herbstreit’s list of six games he “can’t wait to watch” he shared on Friday via Twitter. His other five are:

  • No. 11 Michigan at No. 13 Wisconsin
  • No. 8 Auburn at No. 17 Texas A&M
  • Oklahoma State at No. 12 Texas
  • Kentucky at Mississippi State
  • No. 22 Washington at BYU

Kentucky at Mississippi State stands out as Herbie’s only selection without a ranked team, though the victory figures to be an important one (obviously, they all are) for the winner in Starkvegas as SEC teams look to get rolling heading into the heart of conference play.

We should get to hear Herbstreit and the rest of the College GameDay crew talk all six games, especially No. 1, live from Athens, Georgia on Saturday morning. Herbstreit should actually make a Georgia vs. Notre Dame as he won’t be calling the game, which is on CBS.
