Kirk Herbstreit thinks the Georgia defense could be challenged Saturday against Tennessee.

One of the reasons is that the Vols offense can put up a lot of points. Their offense has become one of the deadliest in the SEC. Herbstreit recently had high praise for Josh Heupel’s offense.

“Hendon Hooker has been ridiculous — two interceptions on the year,” Herbstreit said on “The ESPN College Football Podcast.” “I just want to see Tennessee’s offense on the field against Georgia’s defense. I want to see Hooker with that up-tempo offense at home against Georgia. And Georgia I assume is going to win the game. But Tennessee’s offense, Georgia’s defense if there’s one matchup this Saturday you’re going to want to watch, it’s that. It’s just how will that play out, because that’s a hard offense to prepare for with your scout team.

“It’s tough to simulate that kind of speed with which the plays are coming,” Herbstreit continued. “And of all the games Georgia has left to play, including Alabama if they play them in Atlanta (for the SEC Championship), this will be the toughest offense (the Bulldogs) play until they get into the (College Football) Playoff.”

We will see how the Vols offense matches up against this Georgia defense Saturday at 3:30 pm.
