Five-star prospect Korey Foreman backed off his commitment to Clemson this spring and decided to open his college recruitment back up. Since that time, the Tigers remain in the picture for the California native but six other programs have entered the recruitment of the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

On Thursday, the five-star lineman announced his updated top seven with Alabama, Georgia and LSU making the cut from the Southeastern Conference while Clemson, Howard, Oregon and USC made his cut nationally.

In inclusion of Howard is in itself interesting as this may be the first time that program is ever mentioned in the recruitment of the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Corona, Calif., native is ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect from California and the No. 1 strongside defensive end in the nation for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Once his high school playing career comes to an end Centennial High School, Foreman is committed to playing in the 2021 All American Bowl.
