Willie Taggart is taking the head coach position at Florida State after just one season in Oregon.

It was announced Tuesday that Taggart was taking the position after leading the Ducks to seven wins this season. Taggart arrived in Oregon after leading South Florida to 10 wins in 2016. His stop was definitely brief, and he now returns to the state of Florida with the Seminoles.

ESPN’s Greg McElroy addressed the move and the growing trend of one-year stays on Wednesday, and he said he is not a fan:

“I hate the trend where guys are going and getting a job after just one year,” said McElroy. He also referenced the fact that Lane Kiffin was treated as the worst person in the world after leaving Tennessee for the USC job after just one season.

Still, McElroy did say that he understands some people have dream jobs that they cannot turn down:

“It’s not ideal. You don’t like it, but when one of your dream jobs comes available, I totally get it,” McElroy Explained.
