LOOK: Maine challenges 'National Champs' UCF to game after hurricane postponement
Due to Hurricane Irma last year, a game between UCF and Maine — an FCS school — had to be canceled so the Knights could make up other games.
This year, another hurricane is wreaking havoc on UCF’s schedule, as Saturday’s game at North Carolina has been postponed, with not much hope of being rescheduled.
That led Maine, which has an off-week this weekend, to challenge the Knights to a game in Maine via Twitter:
Hey UCF?
We're sorry to hear that your game is cancelled this weekend. Still waiting to hear about the makeup date from our 2017 cancellation…
We have an open date this Saturday at Alfond Stadium.
Whad'ya say, National Champs? https://t.co/OW0JmbYtGO

Though it’s a nice thought from the Black Bears, it isn’t exactly feasible for the Knights, who have already played one FCS team this fall.
Only one win against an FCS school is allowed to count toward bowl eligibility, so heading north wouldn’t be very beneficial for the Knights, though it would be a fun way to make up last year’s game.
