In another chapter of the ongoing Zach Smith saga, the wife of Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman, responded to the former Ohio State assistant coach with a new shirt.

Shortly before the Longhorns kicked off against the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday night, Michelle Herman tweeted a photo of a T-shirt that read: “Ok, Cool. Hook ’em.”

The phrase was the same one that was seen in a screenshot Smith used that in a tweet of an alleged text message with the Longhorns’ boss.

According to earlier reports, Herman admitted that he was at the strip club and that his wife knew of the incident when he addressed the media this season.

“What was reported was four-and-a-half years ago when I was an assistant coach,” Herman said. “My wife knew exactly where I was and had no issue with it. I’m happy to cooperate, and be honest, truthful and transparent with the NCAA if they so need me to be. But I understand the responsibility that comes with being the head coach at the University of Texas, and I take that responsibility very, very seriously. Right now, that responsibility includes me being laser-like focused on preparing our team to win a game in less than 48 hours in Washington D.C.”

A separate report that surfaced earlier this season claimed that he was the whistleblower who allegedly tipped off Brett McMurphy about Smith’s domestic violence history. Herman denied this was accurate.
