Louisiana senator urges Florida governor to move Florida-LSU game
It appears Hurricane Matthew is once again picking up steam as it heads toward the Florida coast.
However, the Florida-LSU game scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Gainesville will still (as of now) be played.
U.S. senator David Vitter of Louisiana thinks it’s ridiculous to play the game in Florida:

Vitter even went so far as to write Florida’s governor this letter to discuss the game’s status:

Backing up Vitter’s opinion is the fact that Gainesville mayor Lauren Poe declared a state of emergency on Thursday:
A final decision on the status of the game is expected to be made this afternoon.
