There’s a lot to like about Saturday’s top 10 matchup in Jacksonville between Florida and Georgia as the winner will likely have a stranglehold on winning the SEC East.

SEC Network host Marty Smith offered his analysis this week on a Halloween episode of “Marty & McGee,” briefly changed to “Marty & McGhoul” as he discussed the game with co-host Ryan McGee.

“The game itself is going to be phenomenal,” Smith said. “Jake Fromm and that Georgia offense … they’re going to have to play really well because you know Todd Grantham and that Florida defense are going to dial it up and come after him. Then on the other side of the ball, you have Kyle Trask, he’s done so well this year. And when Emory Jones gets the opportunity to play, he too has played extremely well.”

Smith made have hinted at a pick in his next comment, as he seems to subscribe to the theory that the key matchup may be the Gators defense against Georgia RB D’Andre Swift and the running game.

“Look, when Florida’s defense is healthy. When (Jon) Greenard is healthy, and (Jabari) Zuniga is healthy, and all these guys that have kind of been in and out this season. When they’re all full tilt, Florida’s nasty on the defensive side of the football. Again, they’re going to have to be. They’re going to have to go after Jake Fromm and disrupt him, and hopefully disrupt that running game as well.”
