The nation’s No. 1 QB DJ Uiagalelei (Bellflower, CA) has narrowed down his top schools.
Uiagalelei is ranked as the nation’s No. 1 pro-style QB and the nation’s No. 7 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect released his new top six (seven including Mt. San Antonio College) on social media Monday night, and three SEC programs made the cut: Alabama, Georgia and LSU. Joining the SEC trio was Oklahoma, Oregon and Clemson.
“Would like to say thank you to all the colleges and coaches for recruiting me during the past couple of years of my football and baseball career,” Uiagalelei wrote. “It has truly been a blessing and amazing experience to go through, but at this time I have decided to focus on these seven schools. Thank you very much and God Bless.”
During the 2018 season, Uiagalelei unofficially visited Alabama, Clemson and Auburn, but the Tigers did not make the cut. There’s a long way to go, and it’ll certainly be interesting to see where Uiagalelei eventually winds up.
