There’s a good chance that Luke Ford, one of the nation’s top tight end prospects, is going to end up playing in the SEC.

Ford narrowed down his list of schools to a Top 5 on Sunday. It included four SEC schools — Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Texas A&M — as well as Illinois.

The 6-foot-6, 248 pounder is from Carterville, Ill. (Carterville High School). He is a 4-star prospect in the class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Ford holds offers from several other SEC schools, in addition to offers from Michigan, Oklahoma and Florida State. He is listed as the nation’s No. 2 tight end, and is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Illinois. He’s also a Top 50 prospect in the country.

The Aggies clearly made an impact on Ford with their offer over the weekend, but most of the 247Sports crystal ball experts project the U.S. Army All-American to end up at Georgia.

Ford posted his Top 5 (in no order) on Twitter:
