Less than three years removed from winning Super Bowl LII, the Philadelphia Eagles are moving on from head coach Doug Pederson.

The Eagles went 4-11-1 this season, which included franchise quarterback Carson Wentz losing his job to Jalen Hurts.

Now, as first reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Pederson is out of a job after five years with the Eagles.

During that time, Pederson went 42-37-1, with only one losing season. Of course, his best season back in 2017 when the Eagles finished the season 13-3 and beat the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.

The Eagles were led by backup quarterback Nick Foles in that game after Wentz was lost for the season due to injury.

Following this news, the longest-tenured coach in the NFC East is Ron Rivera. Rivera was hired by Washington in December of 2019.
