LSU’s canceled opener didn’t damage Leonard Fournette’s Heisman odds as much as most assumed it would and Georgia’s Nick Chubb remains out front heading into college football’s second weekend.

Online sportsbook Bovada updated its national Heisman odds on Tuesday with Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones leading the way at 7/1, followed by OSU running back Ezekiel Elliott and TCU’s Trevone Boykin at 9/1.

Braxton Miller, after a spectacular showing in Monday’s opener at Virginia Tech with two touchdowns, shot up the charts at 16/1.

Fresh off his ninth straight 100-yard rushing effort, Chubb’s the SEC leader at 10/1 in front of Fournette, Derrick Henry, Jeremy Johnson and Dak Prescott.

Now would be a good time to place a wager on Johnson after he lost some of his preseason luster following a three-interception game against Louisville.

Further on down the line, Tennessee’s tandem of Joshua Dobbs and Jalen Hurd have better odds than Arkansas junior running back Alex Collins and Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen.

A noticeable omission is the SEC’s top returning pass rusher Myles Garrett who contributed two of his team’s nine sacks in the Aggies’ win over Arizona State.

Here are the SEC’s notables:
