No conference can beat the SEC in terms of per-school distribution of revenue for latest fiscal year
It just means more (money) in the SEC.
That’s an appropriate slogan when you consider how much money the conference dished out to each of the 14 league members for the latest fiscal year. Depending on varying factors — related mostly to extra costs some schools were responsible for during bowl season, the SEC reported payouts between $42 million to $39.9 million for the latest fiscal year.
That’s more than any other conference in the nation, according to USA TODAY’s Steve Berkowitz.
Power 5 conference per-school distributions for FY17:
–SEC: $42.M to $39.9M
–Big Ten: $37.2M to $37M
–Big 12: Roughly $34.3M per school except Baylor
–Pac-12: $30.9M per school
–ACC: $30.7M to $25.3M except Notre Dame— Steve Berkowitz (@ByBerkowitz) May 25, 2018
That money is in addition to the gross revenue the program’s make on their own. Here’s a table with that information according to the latest finanicial records:
