Texas Tech fans apparently aren’t the only ones frustrated with the Red Raiders’ lack of effort and accomplishments on defense, media members are now joining in the conversation.

In case you were unaware just how bad Tech’s defense has been recently, Texas Tech’s scoring defense ranked #126 in 2014, they ranked #125 in scoring defense in 2015 and ranked as the #128 (which ranks dead last in the nation) scoring defense last season.

During his appearance at Big 12 Media Days Monday, Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury faced a question regarding his team’s porous defensive unit. Known for keeping his cool as a player and now as a coach, Kingsbury’s answer should have come as no surprise.

While he claims to not have the answer, if Kingsbury has any hope of holding on to his job at his alma mater, his first mission is to turn around that defense immediately. Otherwise, the task of turning around arguably the worst defense in the nation will fall on the next Texas Tech coach.
