Oddsmaker Danny Sheridan releases future lines for several marquee SEC games
There are several marquee games remaining this season, and many of them are not only rivalry games, but they will go a long way to deciding the College Football Playoff picture.
With bye weeks ahead for Alabama, Auburn and LSU, oddsmaker Danny Sheridan on Monday released a series of lines for key games down the stretch across college football. Sheridan sees the primetime game between Alabama and LSU at the Crimson Tide being 24-point favorites, and then Alabama being a 10-point favorite in the Iron Bowl.
In a presumed SEC Championship game, Sheridan lists Alabama as a 10-point favorite over Georgia where the result, and margin of victory, will carry a lot of weight in the minds of the CFP committee. That Georgia team would be coming off a game as a three-point underdog at Auburn, a position Georgia hasn’t been in very often at all this season. Georgia covering that SEC Championship spread would lead to plenty of chatter of a one-loss Georgia team being in the mix for a playoff spot.
Auburn being a 13-point favorite over Texas A&M speaks to the state of the program on a rebound coming off the big win against Arkansas following the disappointing loss against LSU.
Ala -24 vs LSU & -10 @ Auburn & -13 vs UGA; TOSU -10 vs Mich & -21 vs MichSt; Auburn -13 @ TxA&M & -3 vs UGA; Okl St -1 vs Okl; Clem-7 @NCSt
