Here’s one bold prediction for every SEC game during the second Saturday of the college football season:

Jacksonville State at Auburn — Jeremy Johnson manages more than 300 yards of total offense and five touchdowns — in the first half — as the Tigers break in Jordan-Hare Stadium’s new monstrous scoreboard with a bunch of points.

Georgia at Vanderbilt — Calling for a bold prediction, I’ll go with the Commodores not only covering the 20.5-point spread, but keeping it close with the Bulldogs for three quarters before Nick Chubb puts the game away late.

Fresno State at Ole Miss — After a sub-par outing by Hugh Freeze’s standards in the opener, Laquon Treadwell bounces back with 125 yards receiving and two touchdowns against Fresno State. Swag Kelly reigns.

Middle Tennessee at Alabama — Five-star freshman Damien Harris records his first 100-yard game and plays the entire second half after Derrick Henry rips off two long touchdown runs before intermission.

Toledo at Arkansas — In his 30th career game, senior quarterback Brandon Allen recorded his first 300-yard outing last week. Surely he couldn’t do it on consecutive Saturdays?

Oklahoma at Tennessee — Is this bold enough? Vols by double digits inside a checkered Neyland Stadium. The conditions are ripe for Tennessee’s biggest win in the Butch Jones era.

Ball State at Texas A&M — Four more sacks for Daeshon Hall? Has an SEC player ever had eight sacks through his team’s first two football games? Bold.

Missouri at Arkansas State — Wideout Nate Brown records his first career 100-yard game and reaches the end zone twice on Maty Mauk touchdown passes as the Tigers roll.

East Carolina at Florida — The Gators limit East Carolina’s Air Raid offense to less than 150 total yards and surpass 50 points for the second straight week.

Kentucky at South Carolina — Jon Hoke’s defense proves it’s up to the challenge (again), recording a pick-six and holding the Wildcats to 17 points or less in both teams’ SEC opener.

LSU at Mississippi State — The Tigers cover the 4.5-point spread in Starkville by forcing three turnovers and riding Leonard Fournette’s 100-yard rushing effort.
