Who needs a win more this weekend: Georgia or Tennessee?

Both, even with a loss, are not out of the College Football Playoff race, though one team’s situation is more dire than the other’s. Paul Finebaum weighed in on the question Tuesday morning on KJM.

“I think it’s Georgia because if Georgia loses this game they may be done for the SEC Championship, then they have to sit around and wait,” Finebaum said. “Where Tennessee still has in its back pocket that win over Alabama. Now, that’s assuming Alabama runs the table and gets to Atlanta.”

There’s a strong chance Tennessee vs. Georgia is the game of the year. The Vols and Bulldogs have 2 of the country’s best offenses and are playing some of the best football on the season.

The question is whether the Bulldogs, even the No. 4 defense in the nation, can stop Hendon Hooker, Jalin Hyatt and the rest of Tennessee’s seemingly endless supply of weapons.

Then again, Tennessee will have its hands full, too. The Vols have played better defense as of late, but really need to step it up to shut down a potent Bulldogs offensive attack.
