Recruiting is super important in college football, but so is bringing experienced players back into the mix from year to year.

Every year, college football guru Phil Steele compiles and “Experience Chart,” detailing the teams with the most returning experience.

This year, LSU leads the way for the SEC, but the Tigers only rank No. 19 overall, nationally. The team with the most returning experience at the FBS level is Oregon.

Here’s where each SEC team ranks:

  • LSU — No. 1 SEC, No. 19 nationally
  • Tennessee — No. 2 SEC, No. 21 nationally
  • South Carolina — No. 3 SEC, No. 30 nationally
