There are nine five-star prospects who are currently uncommitted in the 2016 recruiting cycle that have one or more Southeastern Conference football programs in the mix for their services.

So here, with two official visit weekends to go, are my current predictions for where each lands.

Rashan Gary, DT, Paramus (N.J.) Paramus Catholic — MICHIGAN
Derrick Brown, DT, Buford (Ga.) Lanier — GEORGIA
Ben Davis, LB, Gordo (Ala.) — ALABAMA
Lyndell Wilson, LB, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver — ALABAMA
Demetris Roberson, ATH, Savannah (Ga.) Christian — NOTRE DAME
Mique Juarez, LB, Torrance (Calif.) North — UCLA
Brandon Jones, S, Nacogdoches (Texas) — TEXAS A&M
Rashard Lawrence, DT, Monroe (La.) Neville — LSU
Mecole Hardman Jr., ATH, Elberton (Ga.) Elbert County — GEORGIA

[Some notes…
  • Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn and others are in the mix for Gary, but at the end of the day his ties to the Wolverines will be too strong.
  • Alabama will hold off strong competition to land both in-state linebackers and that will give the Crimson Tide both the No. 1 inside linebacker and No. 1 outside linebacker in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
  • Robertson could realistically end up at Georgia, Alabama or Stanford, but the prediction here is he heads to South Bend given the blend of academic and football prestige.
  • Juarez is interested in Ole Miss and the Rebels are in the mix, but at the end of the day, Oxford is a long way from Los Angeles.

Of course, plenty can change between now and Feb. 3, which is National Signing Day, but that’s the best guess as to how things will play out based on the latest intel.
