Once more for the SEC season, since there’s one last week to contemplate, we predict the regular season records of your favorite teams. Obviously, we’re losing much of an ability to be vague here, but this is how we see the final totals shaking down.

West

Alabama: 11-1

If Auburn combines all aspects of the best performances its shown so far, and Alabama is pretty flat … well, then it could happen. But until then, we’re rolling with the Tide.

Arkansas: 2-10

Given the complete collapse by Missouri, Arkansas probably has a better chance than we expected at a final win. Still, can’t call for it.

Auburn: 8-4

Could they do this? Absolutely. Will they? We wouldn’t predict it in 10 tries.

LSU: 12-0

The Aggies could make this interesting, but the Tigers will probably put up a few more points than Georgia did.

Mississippi State: 6-6

We’re flip-flopping again. The Egg Bowl might have 500 rushing yards for each team, but the edge in motivation and home field makes us pick the Bulldogs, who get the needed win to become bowl eligible.

Ole Miss: 4-8

Tough season for the Rebels, and their team feels much better than their final record, but somebody has to lose these games.

Texas A&M: 7-5

The Aggies didn’t have quite enough punch to take down Georgia, and LSU is playing much better football than the Bulldogs. Speaking of a team that feels better than its record …

East

Florida: 10-2

Sticking with an easy Gators win over Florida State. Bringing this Gators team home at 3 touchdowns from being 12-0 is no mean feat.

Georgia: 11-1

The Bulldogs might have played down to A&M this week, but Georgia Tech might need the Bulldogs’ bus to get lost to have a chance at the upset in the upcoming week.

Kentucky: 7-5

Kentucky/Louisville will be pretty fascinating, because you have a team that plays defense and runs incessantly against a team that plays no defense and passes pretty well. Kentucky hasn’t allowed 30 this year and Louisville is 1-4 when it fails to score 30. Advantage, Kentucky.

Missouri: 6-6

We said a week ago that Missouri can’t find a way to lose to Arkansas. We have to admit to wondering about that a little bit. Still not expecting it, but it feels much more plausible than it used to.

South Carolina: 4-8

How weird would it be if Carolina went 5-7 and handed out the only losses to Georgia and Clemson? It would be really, really weird. And we’re not expecting it.

Tennessee: 7-5

We certainly expect Tennessee to finish the story of their return from being awful to start the year. The schedule stacked up well and UT has looked like a different team in the past few games.

Vanderbilt: 3-9

The good news is that Vandy looked much better this week and has a nice recent history against UT. The bad news is that it won’t continue.
