Bulldogs LB Gerri Green and LB DeAndre Ward were both arrested this morning on various alcohol-related offenses.

According to the Clarion Ledger, Green, who was named as a First Team All American this week, was charged with possession of alcohol in a dry county, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Ward was charged with possession of alcohol in a dry county and disturbing the peace.

Both were released in time for practice today, and Mississippi State officials say the situation will be handled internally, and they will not comment on it at this time.

The Bulldogs are gearing up to face NC State in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30. It is not yet clear whether or not Green and Ward will be allowed to play.
