The Urban Meyer rumors continue to swirl as the NFL regular season is drawing to a close.

One possible landing spot if Meyer decides to come out of retirement and try his hand at coaching in the pros? Perhaps the Cleveland Browns, who are considering making big changes at the end of the season according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Meyer has a strong relationship with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, per La Canfora, who notes that “the two have long been confidants.”

There had been rumors that Meyer might be a candidate to coach either the Dallas Cowboys or Washington Redskins next season. Last week, Meyer was in Redskins owner Dan Snyder’s suite for Washington’s game, as he was there to support Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin, his former players at Ohio State.

Meyer coached the Buckeyes from 2012-18. That came after a six-year run at Florida from 2005-10. He had success at both schools, leading both programs to at least one national championship.

If the Browns actually consider hiring Meyers, it would show that they’re willing to move on from a regime quickly. Freddie Kitchens, a former Alabama quarterback, is currently in his first season as Cleveland’s head coach.

However, the Browns have struggled this season after entering the year with high expectations.
