Reports: Maryland changes course, fires coach DJ Durkin
With mounting pressure from people across the state of Maryland, including lawmakers and even the governor, the Maryland Board of Regents has reversed course regarding coach DJ Durkin.
On Wednesday night, it was reported that the Terrapins had decided to fire the coach just one day after reinstating him.
The decision was reportedly made on Wednesday evening, following a day of the school being ripped by media members and lawmakers alike:

Matt Canada has been serving as the team’s interim coach, so it is likely that he will continue in that role moving forward.
For now, though, Durkin is out, and we’ll see how the Terrapins respond to this latest round of turmoil.
